You are the smile I saw that night
Across the room your eyes said that you might
There was music around us from wall to wall
We sat and we talked, glass of wine on the floor

And you light up my life
The clouds caught a glimmer of the stars out tonight

You and I’ve walked the thick and thin
We’ve cycled up mountains our heads in a spin
And there are times in life that make you sit down and cry
But you’ve always stuck by me, and never asked why
