Lucy Wise Trio’s EP, A Painting of the Universe consists of five songs, each telling a different story about life in Australia and all inspired by past winning poems of a national schools poetry competition, The Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards.
The songs on the EP are set in a diversity of Australian landscapes and touch on many issues and themes including love, the social effects of drought, the mystery of ageing, the wonder of learning and creativity, and Australia’s Indigenous heritage.
