Lucy, Rowena & Louisa Wise will join musical forces for this special concert supporting Mae Trio on their farewell Melbourne concert! The trio brings together three celebrated musicians in the Australian folk scene. Lucy is known for her work both with “Lucy Wise and the B’Gollies”, and as a soloist who recently toured the UK supporting The Spooky Men’s Chorale. Rowena plays with the popular folk-rock band Stray Hens who just released their debut album, and with The Sonneteers, a unique duo with Staffan Guinane of Francolin. Louisa is an award winning fiddler and singer-songwriter who recently toured the USA, and is currently recording her second solo album. All three write intricately crafted songs and tunes and share a love of singing harmonies. Together they play fiddles, ukes, guitars, and Appalachian dulcimer.

The Mae Trio  – With their roots firmly planted in folk tradition, Australian award-winning contemporary folk band The Mae Trio draw on a range of influences both old and new. Incorporating stellar three-part harmonies, complex arrangements and lyrical sophistication, these youngsters are on a rapid rise. It is a rare treat to experience such skillful instrumentation and spine-tingling harmonies, and The Mae Trio deliver bucketloads of both. The trio will be performing this special concert before they head off for their UK summer tour!

Open Swimmer – OPEN SWIMMER is Melbourne singer-songwriter Ben TD and those that accompany him. After 7 years writing and performing in the frost of Glasgow, Ben has reappeared on our shores with a stunning album that melts the boundaries of pop. His weaving vocals dart and rest between delicate guitar lines and bashful strums that together result in truly intelligent and satisfying tunes.
